The Full Story

About

Hello! I'm Steph, an artist living in Wilkinsburg, right outside the city limits of Pittsburgh. I decided to set up shop in my garage after a decade-long career in youth arts education and later letterpress printing, two areas of interest that continue to excite and challenge me. When the opportunity arose to purchase a press that was originally located in Hershey Park, PA, BonBon was born! The craft of letterpress is simultaneously rooted in tradition and expansive in its contemporary design possibilities, which has me hooked! You can check out my beloved machines below.

The chandler & price

Originally hailing from Ohio (like me!), the C&P 10x15 clamshell press is almost 100 years old. This specific piece of equipment has a special place in my heart, after being passed around my neighborhood amongst friends for many years. This press is perfect for items that should be hand-fed, like handmade paper with deckled edges, or uniquely shaped objects that the Windmill cannot pick up.

THE WINDMILL

Any letterpress printer will tell you that the Heidelberg 10x15 Windmill is a workhorse. This girl can not only letterpress print, but die-cut, score, and foil stamp too. With a built-in, air-powered feeding system, she makes nice sounds, to boot!
